Shorter links, simpler sharing
Shortly
Shortly is our own link shortener — paste a long URL, get a clean one back. No account wall, no ad interstitial, no dashboard to learn first. We built it because every tool we tried asked for more than the job was worth.
Why we built it
Shortening a link is a five-second job. Most tools turn it into a sign-up, a dashboard tour and a banner ad on the way through. We wanted the version that respects the five seconds, so we made it and put it online.
What it is
One field, one button, a short link back. The landing page says what it does in a sentence and then gets out of the way — the input is the first thing your cursor lands on, not the third.
Underneath sit the parts that actually earn their place: link management, click analytics for when you do want to know how something travelled, and QR codes for print. Nothing that needs explaining before the first link is made.
What it taught us
Shortly is where we try things before they reach client work — the copy voice, the input-first layout, the restraint about what to leave out. It stays live and free, and it is the fastest way to see how we build when nobody is briefing us.
